Peace an Unstoppable Force

By September 9, 2022No Comments

Through biblical peace, cities can be changed. For this to happen it takes Believers to agree
with the Word and unleash the power of peace through prayer.

You might ask, “How can changing my city seem so simple?” The answer lies in the spiritual
power that God has placed in His Word and the importance of speaking it out loud.

Hebrews 11:3 (ESV):
By faith we understand that the universe was created by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things that are visible.

The Father spoke and it came to pass — we can too, when we speak the promises found in the
Word out loud.
Why? When fthe Father gives His word we know that without a doubt it will come to pass. Often
times, He is waiting for His children (Christians) to come into agreement with Him and His
promises, take their God-given place in society, and unleash the power of peace to change their
city!

Peace: The Power to Change Your City

The following verses are cornerstones to seeing your city changed. Speaking them out loud
through prayer will unleash God’s power to change your city.

Jesus Has Imparted and Has Given His Peace to Believers

Peace is a powerful spiritual force and weapon that Jesus has given for all Believers to use when encountering adversity.

John 14:27 (NKJV):
Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

The implication of this verse is staggering, for it reveals that peace is not a stand-alone concept.
Instead, it is a part of Jesus’ very nature, and He has imparted His peace into every Believer to
use to establish His Kingdom on earth. Therefore, knowing that His peace has been given as a
weapon to His people, they are to unleash it wherever there is hate, anger, violence and hostility
between people.

Peace Calms Storms

Mark 4:39 (NKJV):
Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace, be still!” And the wind
ceased and there was a great calm.

The power of peace has the ability to calm all manner of storms and adversity.

Unleashing Peace Activates Jesus Himself Into Our Circumstances

Ephesians 2:14 (NIV):
For He Himself is our peace, who has made the two groups one and has destroyed the
barrier, the dividing wall of hostility.

Just think, when we unleash peace, Jesus Himself comes into the situation with a display of His
power, to personally break down dividing walls of hostility between people. This gives us
confidence and an assurance that as we pray for peace, in faith, Jesus invades hostile
circumstances, breaking down dividing walls of hostility between people — that’s powerful!

Peace Has the Authority to Influence Decisions

Colossians 3:15 (NKJV):
And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and
be thankful.

In the Greek, the word rule means “to act as an umpire.” In other words, when Believers
unleash peace, it has the authority and power to influence decisions people make to line up with
God’s will and purpose.
As you can see, peace is a powerful force, and those who unleash it can see cities changed for
the Kingdom!
